OpTex
launch World’s First Modular Periscope/Probe system for HDTV
and Film
Five
years of intensive R&D has culminated in the OpTex Excellence
Periscope/ Probe system – A product offering such high image
quality you will think you are using a Prime Lens.
Built
using Telecentric optics this multi-format system can be
configured to work on HDTV/SDTV or Film, with Interchangeable
Format Modules allowing the Film configuration to work with 35mm
Silent Aperture, Anamorphic and Super16mm (Vistavision and 65mm
Modules are also in development).
The
OpTex Excellence will be available with four super compact
dedicated lenses offering 120°, 100°, 78° and
60° angles of view that, due to the unique design of the
system, remain constant regardless of the taking format
used.
The
entire system is colour matched so whether it is used as a
periscope or probe, and whichever lens is used, colour remains
consistent – you can even mix HDTV and Film and retain the
same Depth-of-Field at comparable apertures.
