MOVEMENT: Created exclusively for the MOVIECAM, the advanced BLN (Bauer Low Noise) compensating link movement ensures smooth pull down and precise frame to frame registration. Dual pilot pin registration and double pull down pins. Aperture plates, available in all 35 mm aspect ratios, are easily interchangeable. The movement slides back for easy threading. Loop adlustment.
MAGAZINES: 120m/400' lightweight active displacement type. All magazines have built-in heaters and torque motors. Electronic footage counter. 120m/400' lightweight Steadimag with vertical displacement to maintain center of gravity.
LENSES: Combi-PL mount accepts lenses from 9.8mm and up. Regular and Super 35.
SHUTTER: 1800 variable to 450. Calibrated in segments with positive stops at 900, 1200, 144, , 172.80. Mirror stops automatically in viewing position. Interchangeable ground glasses available in all aspect ratios.
DRIVE: The camera is powered by a microprocessor controlled 24V DC motor with variable speed from 12 to 40 fps in one frame increments. All speeds operate with crystal quartz accuracy.
INTEGRATED HEATERS: Built-in thermostatically controlled DC heaters for temperatures below +50C/410F. Camera and magazines are heated.
VIEWFINDER ATTACHMENT: 6.1 magnification. Optical image via a rotating mirror groundglass. Reflex viewfinder produces a brilliant and full size correct image. The vievviinder is rotable 3600, while maintaining an erect image. Large exit pupil 9.2mm, has heated rear element to prevent condensation.
VIDEO SYSTEMS: Flicker reduced CCD video pick-ups are available, 100% Color or B&W, 80/20 Optical/B&W video, providing a high contrast video display from the groundglass.
OPERATIONAL CONTROLS: ON/OFF switch. Frame speed preset buttons. Digital counters for frame rate. Sync in and sync out. Dust check knob.
The MOVIECAM SL is designed to accept magazines, baseplates and most other ancilliaries from the MOVIECAM COMPACT.
Arriflex@ bridgeplates, followfocus, matteboxes etc. may be used with the MOVIECAM SL. By means of an adaptorplate all viewfinder systems of the MOVIECAM COMPACT may be used with the MOVIECAM SL including video systems and the movielite system. By means of a magazine adaptor MOVIECAM COMPACT magazines may be used with the MOVIECAM SL.
CARRYING CASES: Made from welded aluminium with sunk-in handles and locks, contoured formed foam inside.
